The issue is that consequence might become apparent 150 game hours later, so you can't reverse your decisions most of the time. This game is quite punishing with choices - same goes for the romances which can have unexpected (well, not entirely, if you think about it :) consequences. You also have to do certain side missions (helping Ciri out basically) to get to the good ending - if you just ignore these and proceed, then you would not have fulfilled the requirements. Some of the dialogue choices you have to make are not obvious at the time (although if you choose a more light-hearted version of the situation and allow Ciri more freedom, you will push the game logic towards a good ending). So my question is, how many of you got this ending in your first playthrough? I got one of the better endings (don't want to spoiler it here too much) the first time round and then tried other endings on subsequent playthroughs.
